Optical Windows
Windows are applied to isolate different physical environments while allowing light to pass. When selecting windows you should consider materials, transmission, scattering, wavefront distortion, parallelism and resistance to certain environment. Tempotec offers a wide range of different materials and different degree of precision windows.
Tempotec provides serveral kinds windows for defferent applications. Customer designed special windows are available. Material: BK7, Fused silica, Sapphire, Quartz, Silicon, MgF2, CaF2, ZnSe, etc.
Precision plano-plano Window Round or rectangle shape Ideal for interferometer flats, laser windows, beamsplitter substrates, or parallel plates. Commercial Quality plano-plano Window Non-precision windows commonly used for sight glasses, instrument windows, beamsplitter substrates, vacuum windows, etc. Wedge Window or Wedge Prism Optical wedge (Wedge Prism) is a wedge shaped piece of glass which refracts light rays, thus establishing a critical angle. Ellipitical Window Brewster window The window cutted as brewster angle, It's used as polarizer in laser cavity. Laser Window Round or rectangle shape as above With perfect surface polishing, it's fit for high power laser applications. Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) Window Round or rectangle shape as above Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) has excellent transmission in the UV wavelength. It can be used for excimer & Nd:YAG laser optics.
